We like to think of Il-Merill restaurant as a little local gem in Sliema. The Maltese restaurant is tucked away in a quiet street but only just a minute's walk from the popular Sliema seafront with its busy shops, cafes and promenade. As a family run restaurant, we put in true passion for what we do, both by making the magic happen in the kitchen and by offering genuine hospitality to diners thanks to the intimate nature of the restaurant.



The food at Il-Merill includes a number of traditional Maltese dishes, each one freshly prepared with genuine ingredients. Hearty portions of rabbit, octopus, bragoli (beef olives) and platters of typical Maltese produce are all such examples. These are complemented by a selection of international dishes ranging pasta, seafood, and meats. Daily specials are normally available, and these range from the daily catch of fish, to dishes containing the freshest market produce. Desserts are also a speciality of the house as they are all home-made and also based on a daily specials concept.


A memorable dining experience is about the food, but it is also about the restaurant atmosphere and general service.
